Dr Saf Bassili, M.B.Ch.B Honours, D.O. UK, F.R.C.S. UK, L.M.S.S.A. UK, FRACS, FRANZCO Aus, USMLE USA, has trained, published, and undertaken clinical trials in the USA, Australia and UK. He has held positions at Moorfields Eye Hospital (London), Southampton Eye Hospital (UK), Louisiana State University (USA), Royal Victorian Eye and Ear (Melbourne), and Austin Hospital (Melbourne).
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of ophthalmologists, the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Australia & New Zealand Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr Bassili established his private practice in Melbourne, Australia in 1991. He has expertise in treating a wide variety of eye diseases particularly in cataract surgery, medical retina conditions (such as age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy) and vitreoretinal surgery. He visits at major public and private hospitals in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, and in regional Victoria such as Swan Hill and Mildura.
